This Yooperlite Sodalite polished stone selection are 18-24mm in length. Each stone weighs from 14g to 17g. Yooperlite is a trade name for rare Syenite pebbles. The Sodalite present in these stones is highly fluorescent under ultra-violet light. The stone glows under UV a distinctive electric orange colour.
These stones were found in Lake Superior, USA. Ancient glaciers moved these stones to this location in Michigan. The glaciers carved out these stones from source rock in what is now modern-day Canada. Most Sodalite fluoresces orange under UV light.
