Natural Yooperlite stone 12-13g

This natural Yooperlite stone weighs from 12g to 13g. It is 25mm to 40mm long. Yooperlite is a trade name for rare Syenite pebbles. The Sodalite present in these stones is highly fluorescent under ultra-violet light.

These stones were found in Lake Superior, USA. Ancient glaciers moved these stones to this location in Michigan. The glaciers carved out these stones from source rock in what is now modern-day Canada. Most Sodalite fluoresces orange under UV light. Yooperlite brightly fluoresces with a distinctive electric orange colour.
