This Septarian Dragon stone sphere 57mm 248g is a good example of this amazing stone. What makes Septarian Dragon Stone unique is its formation. It resulted from volcanic eruptions on the sea floor and reactions with the shells of dead sea life. The altered sediment then formed mud balls which dried out into complex concretions. The geodes are composed of Calcite, which makes up the yellow centres and Aragonite which are the brown lines. The outer grey rock is Limestone.
