Geodes grow within a hollow in a host formation, from solution. The crystals form pointing inwards from the edges of the hollow. Agate and other members of the quartz family commonly form geodes. A geode amplifies softens and diffuses the healing energy of the crystal, letting it flow out slowly. This strengthened and softened healing energy is good for protection and spiritual growth. This is also useful for addressing addictive or overindulgent behaviour.
