Botryoidal Purple Grape Agate is a rare chalcedony found in only one locality in Indonesia. It is chalcedony, not Agate, because it lacks banding. Botryoidal is the term for the pillow or bubble-like formation of this stone. The colour of the small botryoidal orbs ranges from mid to deep purple, sometimes with a blue, grey or green tinge.
