This large Mookaite 145*105*80mm weighs 1250g. It features the deep, deep pastel reds of this beautiful Australian stone. Mookaite formed under the Mooka Creek, which flows through a deposit of fossilized microplankton from the Cretaceous Period, which ended 66 million-years ago. The water percolating down through this ancient seabed of tiny fossils created a stunning rock with bright reds, yellows, purples and other deep colours of nature. Every stone is different with a variable composition of Chert and Chalcedony.
