These inclusions are usually white and prominent on a dark matrix, often resembling a Chrysanthemum flower. The matrix can consist of a mixture of Limestone, Dolomite, Porphyry, Clay and Gypsum. Chrysanthemum Stone formed over 290 million years ago with from organic-rich mud on sea floors, metamorphosed through heat and pressure.
