This Zebra Stone wand weighs 70g.  The wand is fashioned from a unique sedimentary stone that formed over 600 million years ago. It is a very fine-grained siltstone formed when detrital clay deposits compacted into layers. The rock is composed of quartz and sericite. Alunite and kaolinite clay are also present. The layering gives the stone its characteristic bandings of red/beige or red/brown. These form on different patterns, including straight lines, waves, and spots. The black lines gave it its name. It is also known as Zebra Jasper, Zebra Marble and Zebra Agate. It was first discovered in Kununurra, in Western Australia.
