This Yooperlite Sodalite polished stone selection weighs 12-13g. The stone is 18-22mm long. Yooperlite is a trade name for rare Syenite pebbles. The Sodalite present in these stones is highly fluorescent under ultra-violet light, glowing a distinctive electric orange colour.
These stones were found in Lake Superior, USA. Ancient glaciers moved these stones to this location in Michigan. The glaciers carved out these stones from source rock in what is now modern-day Canada. Most Sodalite fluoresces orange under UV light.
