This Yooperlite hand-carved Cat head 50*49mm weighs 115g. Yooperlite is the trade name for rare Syenite pebbles containing fluorescent sodalite, found in Lake Superior. They were moved from Canada to Michigan by glaciers. Most Sodalite will fluoresce orange under UV light. Yooperlite fluoresces particularly brightly. It is an igneous rock. Biotite mica and Hornblende amphibole can also be present.
