This Red and White Jasper Marble is often referred to as Red and White Jasper. The term jasper is most usually used for silicate minerals. This stone however is a marble. This mineral is metamorphised limestone, originally formed from the preserved remains of organic life. Why this stone is called jasper is its unusual striking patterning and color, found in Pakistan.
