This is an unusual Elbaite specimen featuring Olive Green with Pink Tourmaline. The Elbaite Tourmaline in this specimen is mostly this unusual Olive colour with darker green or black as well.
The crystals have the appearance of Green Tourmaline encasing Black Tourmaline. This can occur in nature, but I am not sure if it is the case here. It needs a closer look. There is one imperfect Pink Tourmaline crystal. The matrix is UV reactive. The cluster was sourced in Afghanistan for Rocks and Things by our partner, Lawrence Handicrafts.
