Presence: Mookaite has formed under the Mooka Creek, which flows through a deposit of fossilised microplankton from the Cretaceous Period which ended 66 million-years ago. The water percolating down in this ancient seabed of tiny fossils has created a stunning rock with bright reds, yellows, purples and other deep colours of nature. Every stone is different with a variable composition of Chert and Chalcedony.
