This Mangano Calcite has been expertly hand-carved by Larence Riaz from locally sourced stone in Pakistan. Mangano is a calcium carbonate mineral with a minimum of 30 per cent manganese carbonate present. The calcium and manganese carbonates can be banded. The presence of manganese makes Mangano Calcite react to ultraviolet light, giving it a bright hot-pink glow.
