This Mangano Calcite UV-reactive heart 38mm selection weighs 25-30g. Mangano Calcite glows under UV light due to the presence of Manganese Carbonate, mixed in with the Calcium Carbonate of Calcite. This heart selection was shaped by Lawrence Handicrafts in Karachi, Pakistan, from local stone. 

Mangano Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral with a minimum of 30 per cent manganese carbonate present. The calcium and manganese carbonates can be banded. The presence of manganese makes Mangano Calcite react to ultraviolet light, giving it a bright hot-pink glow.
