This wonderful item is a stylised Mangano Calcite hand-carved crocodile 837g. It was sourced from the glorious local Mangano Calcite and artfully crafted in Pakistan by Lawrence Riaz. It is large and glows hot pink in ultra-violet light.
The crocodile has a number of symbolic meanings. These include Primal instincts, Strength and patience. Primal instincts chiefly relate to survival and reproduction. Strength also relates to protection and fertility. Patience has broader aspects that also include wisdom and personal mastery and power.
Mangano is a calcium carbonate mineral containing a minimum of 30 per cent manganese carbonate. The calcium and manganese carbonates can be banded. The presence of manganese makes Mangano Calcite react to ultraviolet light, giving it a bright hot-pink glow.
