Notable specimen

This notable specimen has some amazing features. The large terminated Elbaite crystal is 48mm. The terminated crown is clear and beautiful with green whisps under a smattering of a flowery Mica and Feldspar that embraces it. There is a recognisable Lepidolite crystal there too. Near the large Elbaite there is another crystal nestling in the matrix at a crossed orientation. This is a transparent flattened 30mm clear Aquamarine crystal.

The lower matrix is made up of clear striated crystals. The matrix is highly UV reactive. The strong blue reaction suggests the crystal matrix is Calcite rich, perhaps with a suggestion of marble or dolomite too. The whole thing is about 50*70*40mm.
