This Epidote crystal specimen from Iran in matrix 43*35*15mm 43.7g This complex specimen from Iran was obtained in Pakistan for us by our partner there, Lawrence Handicrafts. The Epidote crystal itself measures 16*10*3mm. It is embraced in a Feldspar-Mica-Elbaite matrix. This complex makeup was dictated by its metamorphic formation through strong shear forces in this region. Epidote is a silicate mineral formed from aluminium and iron. It is vitreous and transparent to opaque. The matrix is V reactive.
