This natural dark Green Tourmaline Elbaite crystal on matrix was sourced by Lawrence Riaz He travelled to the Gemfields of Afghanistan for Rocks and Things in 2023. This crystal is on a Feldspar, Lepidolite and other Mica matrix.
Elbaite is a complex lithium-rich borosilicate mineral. Elbaite usually forms as heavily-striated elongated rods or prismatic crystals. Elbaite can be any colour of the rainbow, and crystals can be multi-coloured. Black is rare.
