From limestone caves

This large Caribbean Calcite obelisk 83*59*375mm weighs 3089g.  It was sourced and shaped from local stone in Pakistan by our partner, Lawrence Handicrafts. Blue Aragonite, also sometimes called Caribbean Calcite, is a form of Aragonite.

Aragonite is a calcium carbonate mineral, which forms in limestone caves and around hot springs. It has the same composition as Calcite, with a more compact structure. It is often recognised as a twinned pseudo-hexagonal prismatic crystal. Twinning results from interruptions during the growth of the crystal.
