Bands and shapes

This Banded Mangano Calcite heart 67mm weighs 120g. It was fashioned from local stone for Rocks and Things Store by our Pakistan partner, Lawrence Handicrafts. Each of these have a slightly darker hue from the Manganese present than other specimens. They also feature some whiter bands and shapes. 

Mangano Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral with a minimum of 30 per cent manganese carbonate present. These Mangano Calcite hearts feature that glow pink under UV light, due to the presence of manganese. The calcium and manganese carbonates can be banded. Mangano helps reveal your true self.
